New Starters Information
Welcome to our information page for pupils starting this September. Make sure you have a look around the rest of our website and don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Francis School.
Over the next month we will begin to get in contact with parents and carers, to pass on important information regarding registration packs and transistion information. This will be done via email and post.
Application packs will be posted out the week beginning June 3 2024.
Transistion information will start to be communicated with your childs current setting, parents and carers when we return after the May Half Term Holiday.
Education Catering Special Diet Registration
The deadline for applying for special diet menus for children starting in September 2024 is Monday, 1 July 2024.
Simply create an account and upload your medical evidence here: Create an account
You will need to supply a packed lunch until your child's menu is available.
Once you have created your account, we will be able to review your medical evidence with our in-house nutritionist in order to devise an adapted menu for your child's school lunch.

School Transport
The County Council understands that for a minority of children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), there are exceptional reasons why they are unable to get to school, even with the help of families or friends.
In these situations, the County Council may be able to provide free transport assistance. This is available for eligible children from the term after their fifth birthday up to and including year 11.
You can visit the Hampshire County Council website to check whether your child is eligible for free transport assistance. If you believe your child meets the eligibility criteria, and you need help getting them to school, you can apply now for transport assistance for the 2024/25 school year.
If your child already receives School Transport, and you are changing school location, you will need to reapply for transport.
Applications must be submitted by 30 June 2024.
Late applications
Applications received after the applicable date will be treated as late applications, and will only be reviewed after all on-time applications have been processed. This means that transport will not be in place for September 2024 and may not be available for the first academic term.
What next?
Providing your application is submitted on time, you can expect to hear back from us with the outcome of your application within 15 working days. This may vary during busier periods. For approved applications, you will then receive a second communication detailing your child’s transport arrangements, and this will be sent to you no later than the end of August.
